This 4 days safari in Rwanda offers visitors the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to track the endangered mountain gorillas, and dive in the history of Rwanda and witness the post-traumatic growth that Rwanda is experiencing today.

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival at Kigali International Airport. after greetings, transfer to your hotel.

Day 2:  Historical Kigali

After morning breakfast, Kigali city tour. Visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial. The Kigali Genocide Memorial exists as a permanent memorial to those who feel victim to the genocide in 1994. You will start the city tour past the post office and Prisoner’s house to the Richard Kandt’s museum where the historic city tour will begin.

From Kandts House you’ll then proceed to Former Radio RTLM (Hate radio) and then proceed towards Kigali University Central Hospital (CHUK). After lunch, you will be driven to the Volcanoes National Park (3hrs drive)

Day 3: Gorilla trekking experience

Morning breakfast. Short drive to park offices.  Briefing about Gorillas at 07:00 am. After the briefing, you’ll start your gorilla trekking.

Volcanoes National Park protects the steep slopes of this magnificent mountain range – home of the rare mountain gorilla. You will enjoy as they go about their daily life: feeding, playing, resting, grooming and raising their young ones. Lunch at the Lodge.

In the afternoon you visit Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village that offers visitors the opportunity to learn about Rwanda’s culture, traditions and history.

Overnight in Musanze

Day 4: Departure

Morning breakfast and leisure at the Lodge. Lunch at the lodge and check out. Drive back to Kigali (3hrs drive) and transfer to Kigali International Airport (KGL) for departure.
